BreadcrumbList JSON-LD Template
Describe a page's position in a useful site hierarchy with ordered, canonical breadcrumb items.
What this describes
Use BreadcrumbList to express a page’s position in the site’s hierarchy. The sequence should help a visitor understand and navigate the site. It is not a place to insert unrelated keywords or every possible path to the page.

Customize it
- Begin positions at
1and keep them consecutive. - Use concise names that correspond to the visible navigation path.
- Use absolute canonical URLs in
item. - Keep the final item consistent with the current page.
- If the site supports several valid hierarchies, model each deliberately rather than combining them into one false path.
The Guides parent in this example is hypothetical. Use it only when that index exists and is part of the visible hierarchy; choose your own actual parent otherwise.
Validate it
Use the live-page JSON-LD validation tutorial, check every URL, and compare the sequence with visible navigation. Use Schema.org Validator and Google’s Rich Results Test. Eligibility does not guarantee that Google will display the supplied breadcrumb path.
